We recently upgraded our server that the RMSAgent is running on. Now the users are not getting their reports delivered to them via email.

The error message raised is:

The virtual circuit was rest by the remote side executing a "hard" or "abortive" close. This normally results if the peer application on the remote host is is suddenly stopped, the host is rebooted, or the remote host used a "hard close". This error may also result if a connection was broken due to "keep-alive" activity detecting a failure. This error is also be reported under Windows 2000 when a UDP packet is sent to a host with no service open on the specified port. 10054

Set the exchange server (email server) to allow that computer to send anonymous SMTP emails. Be sure that in the Data Management > Reference Values "Outgoing Mail User Name" and "Outgoing Mail Password" are blank.

If you need to authenticate for outgoing SMTP emails, then put a valid username and password in the Reference Value settings mentioned above.
